Trujillo Site of Pachamama Ritual

As part of the organization of the “First International Encounter of the Andean and Moche Spirituality”, the sacred ritual of the Pachamama was carried out in Trujillo. The Pachamama is considered to be the personification of the earth in the Inca culture. The Quechua Masters came to the fields of Moche from as far away as Puno and Cusco to take part in the ceremony.

The activities took place the 19th and 20th of November. The “First International Encounter of the Andean and Moche Spirituality” took place with the goal of showcasing the diverse tourist attractions in northern Peru specifically mystical and cultural tourism, especially the living culture that exists in the area and attractions with Moche origins.
